How a price gets on the map

You report the quote

The coin, the shop, whether they were selling or buying, the dollars, and the date. A spam check sits in front of the form.

It is checked on the way in

The price is compared with live spot. Clear quotes are published. Quotes near the edge of the usual range wait for a person. Duplicates and bursts from one network are rejected.

It shows up without a rebuild

One approved report shows the price. A second independent report marks it confirmed. The date stays on the figure.

Prices are what a shopper says they were quoted, not an offer from the shop. One report is enough to show a figure. Confirmed means two or more independent reports for that shop, coin, and side. Premiums move, so read the date and check with the shop before you go.
